Nintendo DS, codenamed Nitro and produced by Nintendo's Satoru Okada-led engineering teams, introduced dual screens, resistive touch, a built-in mic, local wireless multiplayer, and Wi-Fi Connection online play alongside backward compatibility with Game Boy Advance games; it first shipped in North America on November 21 2004, Japan on December 2 2004, Australia on February 24 2005, and Europe on March 11 2005.
